专家简介：Chaoyun Li received the PhD degree in electrical engineer from imec-COSIC, Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT), KU Leuven, Belgium in February 2020. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at imec-COSIC, KU Leuven. From October 2020 to 2023, he will be funded by an FWO postdoc fellowship. His research interests include cryptography and coding theory.

报告摘要： This talk will give a brief introduction to the past and present of Boolean functions and their applications to symmetric cryptography. First, we will recall the history. We will show that Boolean functions play an essential role in computer science and discrete mathematics in general. Then, we focus on some seminal works of cryptographic Boolean functions. Some open problems will be discussed.
