专家简介：

程立新，男，中共党员。1959年10月出生。博士，厦门大学陈景润特聘教授。专业方向：泛函分析、凸分析、Banach空间几何、非线性几何。发表学术论文逾100篇。曾主持包括国家自然科学基金重点项目在内的国家基金项目12项。指导博士生34人，硕士生66人，博士后3人。二十多次受邀作国际和全国学术会议的大会特邀报告。曾到美国西雅图华盛顿大学数学系等十七个国家和地区三十多所高校和科研机构科研合作和学术访问。 1993年获国务院特殊津贴。曾任厦门大学数学科学学院教授委员会主任和学术委员会主任、中国数学会常务理事和福建省数学会理事长。

报告摘要：

Suppose that X, Y are Banach spaces. A mapping f : X → Y is said to be an isometry provided ||f(x) − f(y)|| = ||x − y||, ∀x, y ∈ X. Because of its profundity in theory and universality in application, the study of isometry and its generalizations of Banach spaces has continued for over 90 years. In this talk, I will give a historical overview of this research area, and mainly focus on the progress in the last two decades, including some contributions of the FA group at Xiamen University.
